Loved the Looff Carousel!! A real, working, tangible piece of early Americana from a bygone era that costs only $1 a ride! Grabbing for the Brass Rings was especially fun, as there are very few rides left anywhere in the US where riders are ENCOURAGED to reach out, grab the rings and toss them into a target!! Did I say I loved the Carousel???
Nice place to catch a sunset or for a walk on the beach where you'll pretty much be the only one there. The carousel is great but that's the only thing around to do.
I used to go here all the time when I was younger. Haven't been here in years. But it was still a good place to go to
Very nice place to go in Riverside. During the fall and winter months it is slow but once the weather gets nicer Blount's clam shake opens and they host live music. The park also extends across the street to get away and can even visit the beach.
A great ride and lots of fun. Can get pricey if you take a group for multiple rides (but seems reasonable overall). I wish they had a faster system for getting people on and off between rides. Also, be forewarned - the music (which comes from an awesome player pipe organ+ other instruments, not speakers) is pretty loud.
